HASAN KALYONCU UNIVERSITY MINT LEMON COMMUNITY

Mint Lemon Community, in February 2016, the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics students and lecturer. See. It was established by Mehmet Uz as a Healthy Life community. Established with the aim of providing trainings and seminars, Mint Limon Group hosts many events in the field of nutrition today and serves its field with a much higher number of members.

Aim

Mint Limon community is a community that adopts the principle of providing people with correct information about healthy nutrition and healthy life, and serves the benefit of the society. The aim of our group is to inform people and prioritize the health of the society with activities, seminars, symposiums, social activities, social information, social responsibility projects in areas such as healthy nutrition, balanced and regular nutrition, nutrition sports relationship, nutrition in diseases. Since its establishment, our university has managed to reach today with public health days, various seminars, various symposiums and social events.

Vision and Mission

Our vision is to explain the importance of healthy nutrition to everyone at our university, who are members of our community or not, within the framework of our activities, and we are a community that has adopted the principle of explaining that nutrition, which is the basic necessity of life, is an indispensable part of human health.

Our mission is to emphasize the importance of nutrition, which is the basic building block of human health and its necessity for a healthy life, in every activity we organize as the Mint Lemon community.

Activities

1- In April 2016, in the walk we held in Gaziantep Kavaklık Park and at the stand set up, we gave information about the need to do sports for health and the relationship between nutrition and sports, and to raise people’s awareness. In the event held for the benefit of society, the term Rector, Mr. Prof. dr. Tamer Yılmaz, community consultant Inst. See. We completed our event with the support of Mehmet Uz and the Metropolitan Municipality.

2- In our Diabetes Day event in November 2016, we organized an event at the Congress and Culture Center of our school, where we told people about the definition of diabetes, prevention from diabetes, how to live with diabetes and how to approach patients with diabetes.

3- In February 2017, we held our first Career Days event. Here Exp. Dyt. Zeynep Parlak Özer, Inst. See. Utku Çelik, Dyt. Turgay Canbolat, Dyt. Fehmi Gereme and Dyt. With the participation of Ece Yalın, we organized our event by giving information about healthy nutrition.

4- In 2018, we realized the first of the department dinner we organize every year. It is a social event where we come together with the students of the Nutrition and Dietetics department every year and devote time to ourselves.

In the Workshop we held in Gaziantep University Central Kitchen on 5- March 2019, we prepared completely gluten-free meals and presented them to people. We successfully completed our activity where we made the meals healthier.

6- During the pandemic period in 2020, we continued our activities online without slowing down. We organized many activities that would be beneficial for our members and Nutrition and Dietetics students by organizing seminars in a knowledgeable, entertaining, conversational atmosphere.
